I recently tested the Love Notions Tuxedo Knit Dress pattern. This is a great pattern for knit fabrics, and perfect for any time of the year. This dress would be great for school, or play and my daughter says it’s very comfy! I tested a size 10, shown here, and we like our dresses a little long, so the length was perfect for us.
This dress is a quick and easy sew, and has several options. It has several sleeve variations, and can be made to include side seam pockets, make it with or without the ruffle or bib front. With such a great variety, each dress can have a totally different look to it!
This pattern will be released on June 12 and you can find it in the Love Notions Etsy Store and for the first week, you can use the code tuxedo for a 15% discount.
I had the opportunity to test this great summer pattern. Hana loves it, and has already worn it a few times!! This is a pretty easy sew and the results are super cute and fun, perfect for warm spring, or hot summer days. She has also worn it with a t-shirt underneath, when it was a little too cool for just the straps.
You can check out GYCT Designs for more photos showing off this cute pattern, which you can see would be perfect for the 4th of July. You can find the pattern here: GYCTDESIGNS on Craftsy
Here is the finished dress on Hana

My daughters are currently obsessed with the new movie “Frozen”. Well, I guess that most little girls have this same obsession right now. Anyway, they both wanted an Queen Elsa dress for dress up. I recently had the opportunity to test a pattern for Mandy K Designs, before it was released for sale. The pattern is called The Princess Party Dress and is available on Craftsy for purchase. Here is my take on the dress, this is for my 7yr old. She loves it, and it fits really well. This pattern would be perfect for any of those “princess” dresses or costumes that your little one asks for.
This cake was for my dear hubby’s birthday, his request! This was a fun cake to do, and not difficult at all. I used 4 6″ layers, with a half sphere layer on the top. It’s covered in marshmallow fondant, with fondant and gum paste accessories. Thanks for looking 🙂
