It’s been awhile since I posted, but that doesn’t mean I’m not crafting in some way…. just super busy!!  So, I am just adding a few photos of some baking that was done recently.

Busy summer here, with kids, projects and activities. I have made a few cakes this summer, so instead of posting each individually, I am going to post photos with a brief description.

Sailor Bear Birthday Cake

I was asked to make a similar cake seen at  www.pinkcakebox.com for a 1yr old’s birthday, and this is my version.

It was fun, I made a mold for the shells and little fish and then used fondant in the molds. I painted the shells and used brown sugar for the sand. The 2 tiered cake is covered with fondant, but the smash cake for the baby is buttercream, cause we wanted him to get nice and messy, and that just would not happen with a fondant covered cake!
